our philosophy

We’re more than a preschool; we’re an early childhood education center.

experiential learning

Inspiring Curiosity, Creativity, and Confidence in Young Children
Through a hands-on, experiential approach to education, we ignite curiosity and stimulate creativity, enabling children to construct their own knowledge. By delving deep, imagining, and thinking critically, they navigate their classroom environment, overcoming challenges through work and play. Our emergent curriculum, centered around the children’s interests, encourages a deep love of learning. Within our vibrant classrooms, children actively explore, surmount hurdles, and experience intellectual and emotional growth. We value each child’s unique spirit, creating a nurturing environment where they truly blossom.

jewish values

A Unique Blend of Jewish Values and Academic Readiness
At Aaron Milken Center, we offer an award-winning curriculum developed in partnership with the USC Rossier School of Education. Our curriculum integrates the rich history, culture, and traditions of the Jewish people into academic experiences in math, reading, social studies, and science that will prepare them for kindergarten and beyond.

We prioritize critical and creative thinking skills, empowering children to become lifelong learners. Our teachers foster self-esteem by encouraging critical thinking and exploration. We engage children in a variety of ways so that learners of all types are engaged and encouraged.

Throughout the learning process, we integrate Jewish values like kindness (chesed), respect (kavod), responsibility (achrayut), gratitude (hoda’ah), and community (kehillah k’dosha). These values shape our daily interactions with children, making their learning meaningful and impactful.

a vibrant community

Celebrating Diversity
We honor the diversity of our families and celebrate the uniqueness of each child. Our supportive environment encourages children to feel successful without pressure, embracing their individual stages of development and fostering a love of learning. Inclusivity (k’laliyut) is a fundamental principle at Aaron Milken Center and is deeply ingrained in the ethos of Wise as a whole, ensuring that every individual is seen and appreciated for their unique gifts.
