Aaron and I LOVED the class!
Participating in Shalom Baby at Wise was such a grounding and meaningful experience for me as I thought about what it truly means to bring a life into this world. The class helped me slow down and reflect on the responsibility, care, and intention that surrounds welcoming a new baby, not just physically, but spiritually and emotionally as well.

I especially appreciated how the experience was rooted in Jewish values, reminding me that bringing a child into the world is connected to l’dor v’dor, the idea of passing life, identity, and tradition from generation to generation. It gave deeper context to the sense that every new life carries both continuity and possibility.

One of my favorite parts was the hands-on practice of swaddling a baby doll. It made everything feel real in a very practical way and it helped me feel more confident and prepared. There was something reassuring about learning through doing rather than just talking.

I also really valued getting to meet and connect with other people in the community who are going through a similar experience. It felt comforting to share this stage of life with others who understand both the excitement and the uncertainty that can come with it.

Having my husband there with me made the experience even more meaningful. It felt like something we were learning and processing together, which strengthened our sense of teamwork as we prepare for this next chapter.

Erica & Daniel

As first-time parents, it was a helpful course that delved deep into topics such as post-partum challenges to breast feeding to how to navigate and set boundaries when welcoming a newborn. It was also nice to share concerns and anxieties with the other couples and feel connected with them on this journey. We both appreciated the insight we received from the experts in their fields and feel more prepared to welcome our baby in a couple of months.

Thanks!

Daniel & Melissa

We both enjoyed being a part of the Shalom Baby class. The program provided us with different insights and perspectives into becoming parents, and it was wonderful to enjoy being a part of it with other first-time parents. Shalom Baby provided us with a safe space to ask questions and share different feelings about this new journey in our lives. It was a valuable experience for us, and we would encourage other expectant first-time parents to participate in the program moving forward.
